The Sustainable Ports Association is the leading network empowering ports and their supply chains to drive sustainability, innovation, and long term commercial growth. We unite ports, suppliers, and technology innovators to accelerate the transition to net-zero operations, strengthen global supply chains, and scale the solutions that will shape the future of sustainable maritime infrastructure. We enable organisations across the port ecosystem to identify the right technologies, partners, and investment pathways from alternative fuels and energy systems to smart-port solutions, automation, and environmental management. By fostering strategic collaboration and real-world knowledge exchange we help ports overcome barriers, reduce operational risks, and unlock new commercial opportunities. With 75% of port emissions generated across the supply chain, our mission is to bring industry leaders together, align priorities, and fast-track the innovations that deliver measurable carbon reduction today while building resilience for tomorrow. Through high-impact events, technical groups, open days, and industry-led initiatives, we ensure ports and their supply chain partners have access to the expertise, visibility, and connections needed to implement meaningful change at scale.

Aaron Driver, CEO & Business Director of the Sustainable Ports Association, is a forward-thinking leader dedicated to supporting members and driving sustainability across the maritime sector. Since his appointment in July 2023, Aaron has focused on building strong networks to help ports and supply chains achieve ESG goals, move towards carbon neutrality, and generate business within the Association. His ambition is to ensure members are equipped with the knowledge, connections, and opportunities they need, while building lasting relationships with ports to support their transition to cleaner, more efficient operations.

Anthony supports the Association by strengthening links between members and the wider supply chain, helping create meaningful commercial opportunities and driving cost savings across the network. He provides strategic oversight, ensuring strong governance and long-term value for all members.

Shannon leads the Association’s marketing and events, helping members grow their presence across UK ports and the wider supply chain. She supports ports on their sustainability journey by using the power of marketing, storytelling and engagement to highlight innovation, drive awareness and strengthen industry connections. Shannon plays a key role in expanding membership reach and delivering high-impact events that showcase the future of sustainable ports.
We’re dedicated to making the ports industry cleaner, smarter and easier to navigate. Our mission is to support ports and their supply chains on the journey to net zero, helping organisations of all sizes access the solutions and partners they need.
We help ports reduce their environmental impact by strengthening the supply chain behind them. With over 75% of a port’s carbon footprint sitting outside its direct control, we connect ports to sustainable suppliers, technology providers and innovators who can deliver real decarbonisation and operational improvement. From shore power and alternative fuels to energy monitoring, construction, and circular solutions — we make sure ports get the right support, fast.
We already work closely with ports, supply chain businesses, sustainability specialists, major contractors, developers and innovators — and we’re expanding our network every day. These relationships allow us to match ports with the exact partners and technologies they need to progress.
Our team lives and breathes the ports industry. We understand the pressures around decarbonisation, the realities of achieving net zero 2050, and the day-to-day operational challenges ports face. This knowledge ensures every introduction, opportunity and recommendation is relevant and valuable.
We’re not salespeople. We work collaboratively with our members and partners to uncover opportunities that drive genuine progress — from sustainability projects to tenders, demonstrations, site visits and technology pathways.
We don’t flood your inbox. We focus on targeted, meaningful connections that will move your business forward. And we go out of our way to seek out new opportunities, ideas and partnerships that directly support your goals.
