Aaron Driver, CEO & Business Director of the Sustainable Ports Association, is a forward-thinking leader dedicated to supporting members and driving sustainability across the maritime sector. Since his appointment in July 2023, Aaron has focused on building strong networks to help ports and supply chains achieve ESG goals, move towards carbon neutrality, and generate business within the Association. His ambition is to ensure members are equipped with the knowledge, connections, and opportunities they need, while building lasting relationships with ports to support their transition to cleaner, more efficient operations.
Joining SPA in early 2025, Alan Atkins brings decades of experience in commercial strategy, funding, and partnerships. As COO, Alan is helping unlock strategic partnerships that accelerate port decarbonization and drive growth across our network.
His role focuses on supporting ports with compliance, ESG requirements, and readiness for frameworks like the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). Alan is committed to ensuring members maximize their return on investment — reducing business development costs, gaining visibility, and securing valuable opportunities through SPA’s network.
